П'ять років цю посаду обіймала Зузана Чапутова, яка урочисто заступила на посаду 15 червня 2019 року. Вона стала першою жінкою на посаді Президента Словаччини, а також у віці 45 років вона стала наймолодшою особою, яка коли-небудь займала цей пост у країні.
Також Чапутова неодноразово їздила до Києва, виступала перед українським парламентом та зустрічалася у Братиславі з Володимиром Зеленським.
"Ми відкрили свої домівки і серця українцям", - говорила Чапутова про підтримку України під час засідання Європарламенту у Брюсселі в 2022 році. Пізніше на роковини війни президентка записала україномовне звернення, у якому закликала громадян стояти на боці України та її народу.
